Like a sketch

By Dirk Metzmacher

There are a lot of tutorials available on the net on the topic of “photos that look like they’ve been pencil-sketched“. The instructions found on the theme Photo to Pencil Sketch by Tim Shelbourne is a good example. Although it moves more into the direction of “charcoal drawingâ€, it describes the technique in detail on over two pages.

Grow grass with Photoshop

By Dirk Metzmacher

This great tutorial shows you a simple technique to “grow“ grass artificially with the help of Photoshop. Everything is described step by step and the various stages are presented: from a blade of grass to a summer meadow. The result looks nearly as real as a photo. X-Ray

By Dirk Metzmacher

I never thought that you could manipulate Photoshop into being a real x-ray machine that could even make Superman jealous. I haven’t yet tried this trick out, so it all may be just a hoax. In any case, the Azios Computer Log shows a way to make bodies behind thin, light clothes see-through.

Also on celebrityinc.blogspot.com the topic of X-ray simulation is discussed. Many examples are provided to show how see-through many types of clothes can be.

Panography

By Dirk Metzmacher

Instead of seamlessly joining multiple photos that create one large shot – as normally found in a panorama picture – here the picture edges are actually used as a stylistic tool. Instructions guide you on the path to these creations.

Only selected individuals with the right technique can create a magical book with magical powers. However, Photoshop does offer some appropriate and almost magical tools to help you. Ingredients like pictures and textures are mixed together, until the magic pours forth from the book, as you can see here.

Zombies

By Dirk Metzmacher

For sure, a big part of the steps in the workshop Freakish Zombie in 11 Steps includes a lot of blood, dark brooding and threateningly glowing eyes. Turning a person into a brain-eating monster can be done quite easily. Also a nice touch here is the polaroid and adhesive tape simulation.
